Created by Michael Stevens in the summer of 2010, Vsauce is a channel dedicated to discussing anthropology, mathematics, philosophy and science. While there are multiple Vsauce channels, we are referring to Vsauce1. A main series on the channel focuses on Michael posing a question or discussing topics in a digestible manner. Having been around for over ten years, there is plenty of STEM related content to find on here!

Based on a children’s cartoon of the same name, Wild Kratts is an educational channel primarily geared towards children. The series and channel follow the Kratts Brothers, who travel around the world and discover numerous types of wildlife and animals. This channel is a perfect pick for younger audiences interested in nature.

Amoebasisters--STEMYoutubeChannels-STEM-STEMFrom-Youtuberecs

Run by two sisters, one whom was a biology teacher, the Amoeba Sisters channel is dedicated to making biology fun to learn. While they focus on mostly high school level biology, their videos are digestible for all ages. The pair does warn that their videos are unable to be all-encompassing, but that they try their best to include as many details as possible. If you need a run-down on biology, this is it!

Since 2001, Brady Haran has dedicated an entire channel to numbers and mathematics. According to the official website, “topics range from the sublime to the ridiculous…from historic discoveries to latest breakthroughs.” The randomness of topics makes for endless opportunities, adding to hundreds of videos already uploaded to the YouTube channel. They also host a podcast, providing bonus content to their viewers. If you love math and numbers, this channel is a must have!

NationalGeographic-STEMYoutubeChannels-STEM-STEMFrom-Youtuberecs

Many people know of the scholarly journal known as National Geographic, but did you know they also have a YouTube channel? According to the channel description, NatGeo “bring[s] our stories, images and video to the world in real-time, inviting followers along on our ongoing 135-year journey. Our yellow border is a portal to the world, showcasing all [of] the wonder and beauty that it has to offer.” This channel is an excellent choice for those who enjoy an array of STEM subjects.
