Happy July from STEM From! We’re kicking off this month by highlighting five STEM events everyone should know about!
July 10th-13th: The International Society for Stem Cell Research 2024’s Global Stem Cell Event
In Hamberg, Germany, thousands of scientists specializing in stem cell research are invited to meet, shareand expand upon the field. The 4-day program is packed to the brim with plenty of learning opportunities. According to the website, content will be centered around six “tracks:” clinical applications, disease modeling and drug discovery, ethics and standards, new technologies, pluripotency and development, and lastly, somatic stem cells, cancer and regeneration. July 13th: STEM Saturday Outer Space
Hosted by Northside STEM and taking place in Minneapolis, MN, this event aims to explore the magnificence of the vast universe through interactive workshops and hands-on activities. Suited for all ages, anyone attending is sure to learn something new! The event will start at 11am at Hmong International Academy. Click here for more information!
July 15th-July 19th: Summer Olympics STEM Program
Taking place in Orange City, Florida, this girl-specific summer camp event encourages girls to take a dive into the world of STEM! Attendees will dabble in robotics, app design, engineering, and game design. Girl scout members will have a chance to earn many badges for participation. This event is geared for girls in 1st grade or above. More information here!
July 19th-July 21st: Tech Innovation & Wealth Summit
Taking place at the University of Washington’s Michael G. School of Business, the Tech Innovation and Wealth Summit promises networking opportunities, out-of-the-box discussions, and a glimpse into current tech trends. Experience level is irrelevant and the event welcomes anyone and everyone! Learn more here!
July 20th: iSpace Summit 2024
Landing at Bellevue College in Washington, the iSpace Summit is a perfect chance for middle and high schoolers to learn about space-oriented fields! The event will have fun hands-on workshops, an included lunch, as well as a raffle! The host, iUrban Teen, calls themself a “STEM+Arts program for Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Pacific Islander Teens.” Explore more about the event here!
