This was an events where students were given an an engaging introduction to genomics and its real world application across STEM fields. Through small group sessions, Dr. Minardi showed participant how genomics are connect to even careers outside of a biology lab. This includes careers in technology, engineering, and even data science.
Students at San Jose were able to learn how genetic data is analyzed and applied in fields like personalized medicine, agriculture, and bioinformatics! Which allowed them to gain a better understanding of how interdisciplinary and dynamic the world of genomics can actually be.
