How it Started

Manufacturing Day was first launched in 2012 by the Manufacturing Institute to address misconceptions about manufacturing and inspire the next generation of skilled professionals. The initiative encourages manufacturers to open their facilities to students, educators, and community members through tours, demonstrations, and hands-on learning experiences. Today, thousands of organizations across the United States participate annually to showcase the innovation and technology driving modern manufacturing.
